Privacy Policy
This policy explains what AsTheySee collects, why it is used, which providers help process it, and how to contact us about your data.
Last updated: August 16, 2026
Information we collect
- Creator-account information such as name, email, authentication method, profile image when provided by Google, and account identifier. Passwords are handled by Supabase Auth and are not visible to AsTheySee.
- Assessment details such as display name, optional context, avatar configuration, and the private link created for the assessment.
- Participant ratings, optional private notes submitted after the questionnaire, and response metadata.
- Assessment-link, report, expiry, scoring, response-count, notification, and account-ownership data.
- Payment records such as Razorpay order ID and payment ID, amount, currency, status, report identifier, and timestamps.
- First-party product events such as link-share clicks, quiz opens and completions, report unlocks, paywall views, checkout status, and whether a responding friend later creates a link. These events do not copy quiz answers or private notes into the analytics record.
Participant responses
Invited participants can answer an assessment link without creating an account. Responses and optional private notes are anonymous by default and are not displayed with a verified participant identity.
Response data is combined to calculate the creator's personality report. Private notes are available only in the purchased detailed report belonging to the creator account.
AsTheySee does not import contact lists, create public member directories, or provide participant-to-participant communication.
How we use information
- Create and manage personality assessments, calculate reports, and enforce creator ownership.
- Prevent repeated device submissions and protect expired or inactive links.
- Process and verify report purchases and restore valid purchased access.
- Send report-ready emails or browser notifications when the creator has opted in.
- Investigate support, safety, fraud, chargeback, and legal requests.
- Measure the product funnel and understand where creators or responding friends stop, using aggregate first-party analytics.
Payments and Razorpay
Payments are processed by Razorpay and its payment partners. Sensitive payment credentials are entered into Razorpay Checkout and are not received or stored by AsTheySee.
AsTheySee does not store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, OTPs, internet-banking passwords, or bank-account login credentials. Razorpay's handling of payment information is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
Regional pricing
Vercel supplies an approximate country code derived from the request IP address. AsTheySee uses that country code to show India-specific INR pricing or the applicable non-India pricing. We do not use precise location for this purpose.
Cookies and device controls
AsTheySee uses authentication cookies to keep creators signed in and assessment-submission cookies or similar browser storage to reduce repeated submissions from the same device. Disabling these controls may affect login or assessment functionality.
With your permission, AsTheySee uses Meta Pixel cookies and browser identifiers to measure advertising performance and understand whether ads lead to creator actions or purchases. You may decline this optional advertising measurement without losing access to the app.
AsTheySee also uses short-lived first-party controls to count a quiz opening once per device and to preserve referral attribution when a responding friend chooses to create a link. Referral attribution expires and is used only for product-funnel measurement.
Service providers
- Google for optional Google account authentication.
- Supabase for email/password authentication, session management, and database storage.
- Vercel for hosting, delivery, and approximate country detection.
- Razorpay for payment processing and verification.
- Meta Business Tools for optional advertising measurement after consent.
- Brevo for transactional report-ready email delivery.
- Browser push services for optional notifications enabled by the creator.
Link expiry and retention
Assessment links are designed to stop accepting responses after 48 hours. Expiry does not automatically delete account, response, report, notification, or payment records needed to provide history, purchased access, security, support, and legal compliance.
Data requests and contact
For privacy questions or data requests, email pwakle26@gmail.com with the email used for the creator account and any relevant assessment or report link. We may request reasonable verification before acting on an account-related request.
